PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This event primarily created a fusion of artistic and fashion statements in a single location and showcased them in one night. The colorful display of fashion-oriented artistic works was born out of the participation of interested members from the English, GRS, Art, and Art History departments at the University of Alabama. These participants, comprising students and faculty, were practitioners of the artistic and literary forms prevalent on campus.
The event featured a panel discussion. The discussion, led by fashion-conscious grad students and lecturers who do research in fashion and literature/art explored the diverse ways in which fashion influences artistic practices.
In the promotion of holistic self-expression, contributors presented their works while adorned in fashion that complemented or relates to their artistic creations. Their fashion statements was as pronounced as the works that they are showcasing. Also, attendees made their own fashion statements on this night of creative convergence, complete with a red carpet.
The night concluded with closing remarks and an open invitation for attendees to join in a celebratory gathering with food and drinks.
